I can no longer connect to www.google.com, or any other Google site. I cannot ping it, nor tracert to it. I believe it is a Comcrap problem, but my past experience dealing with Comcrap support makes me not want to go to them.
Yes, I can use other search engines, I'm just used to Google. Plus, I also understand that Google and Comcrap are rivals and often block each other.
I am a retired computer tech. My machines are clean, no viruses or malware. I can connect to www.google.com if I use a proxy server.
my closest friend is about 80 miles from me and hits Google fine. I forgot to ask him what his provider is.
Searches using other search engines for info on Comcrap or Google problems don't return any current data.
I know there are other computer knowledgeable folks here. Can someone ping and tracert to www.google.com and provide me with a text file of the results, please? I need all the evidence I can gather before I start the BS hastle of dealing with Comcrap support.

Amazing how poor customer service gets as one company controls the market.

I figured it out. Google changed ip addresses. I had the last known Google address added in my hosts file. I use the hosts file to block ad sites. As soon as I cleared the Google entry, I got connected!
