V12/10 vee two cylinder steam engine. Plans are all in German. Anybody have in English? Thanks!

Everything. German technical language is unusual in that it strings together MANY words to make one. A normal translator, unless specifically geared to technical language, will never translate something like this. Parts names maybe a little, but certyainly not most words in an article of this nature. I had three years of Geman many years ago and I remember that aspect of it. Have you had German? If you haven't then you simply don't unbderstand. Thanks anyway.

Technical German can be a bit difficult, when working as a toolmaker, there were a lot of German toolmakers in Australia. I studied German at night school for several years just as an interest, better than watching tv, and of course I had those toolmakers to help me. I became quite proficient in technical German and could follow along with conversations about tooling quite easily. But these days I'm quite out of practice and would have to do a refresher course to catch up. The German language can be difficult at the best of times, with gender, verbs at the end of sentences etc. It would be very hard to try and translate just using a dictionary, I have tried in the past to use google translators, but they just don't work well.

Paul.
