Hi,

My name is Jon. I stumbled across this amazing website one day not to long ago while I was searching for ways to turn a radius on a lathe. I am in my second year as a tool and maker apprentice and I have found a little time here and there to work on personnal projects so hopefully I will be posting one of my engines here soon :).

Welcome to the forum,
I am still new to the site but there is so much knowledge and advice on here. Don't be afraid to ask a question there is all levels of machinist here and even basic stuff is covered throughout the forum. Welcome and have some fun. Be safe.
Johnny

G'day Jon. Welcome to HMEM. We look forward to following your engine build and in the meantime good luck with your studies

Welcome!!! Jon . From faraway Singapore.
Gus now making a Quick Change Tool Post for his Japanese mini lathe.
Like you I did my machineshop apprenticeship. On completion I was sponsored by company to go part time Mechanical Engineering. On completion,I was given a desk job with no hands on metal turning. After 32 years my metal turning became very rusty. The forum members been very helpful to help me brush up my long forgotten trade skills. I can't saw straight or file flat.

Please post your engine.

Welcome to the forum, Jon and good luck with your future projects.
Stew.
