Welcome Garry, you won't find a nicer place anywhere on the net.
i'm from cooks creek manitoba we live on 10 acres i have a 30x50 shop and a 24x24 machine shop in the building stages. i am just learning how to use a lathe and mill (self taught), if i see something i like i try to reproduce in metal. i also restore old cars this is how i got into machining i could not find a part so i would make it. eventualy you runout of mistakes and perfect it.
