Hello everyone. Like many of you, I stumbled onto the site by chance, looking for a plan for a beam engine. I liked the friendly chat, and the way that everybody seems to help if there are problems, and decided to register. I am vintage 1940 and have been into model engineering for quite a long time, starting with steam locomotives, cannon, and now stationary steam. I have built several of Elmer's engines, and have just finished a Coombes table engine built from scratch, apart from castings for the flywheel and guides. I have just started to build the beam engine scaled up by Brian, with modifications, and look forward to spending time with HMEM.

Regards, Dave
