this was my first project on the lathe that i could actually use. its for my x2 i found the grinding wheel on ebay some time ago and didnt own anything to use it on. i was just playing around trying to make a r8 arbor for my new mill, didnt have any other tooling for it at the time so this is what i come up with.

Goofy,

Clever. Just make sure you cover up your machine so that you do not get any grinding dust on it. As you know, that dust will grind your machined surfaces away if not cleaned up.

Nice! Being able to make your own tooling opens up a whole new world to Model Engineering. It lets you do things that were not possible before. If you use that arbor as a grinder though, do make sure you cover your lathe well. I find paper towels and some oil work well at keeping the grit off, but keep the shop clean of such stuff as you don't want those towels hanging around for long.

Nice Job!

Just make sure you dispose of them properly when your done....don't need a fire hazard now do we.... ::)
