Used sand

Phenolic resin sand preparing 2130 resin & hardener. Fine sand. I mixed the sand with the mixture of resin and hardener (10:0.8). 30-40g of the resin to 1000g sand. The used sand can not be reused.

I am going to make a water pump for my engine. The pattern was made with Acrylic and wood. Since the part is so small, I decided to use the phenolic resin to bond the sand. Sand core making. Ready for casting.
