    Grizzly Lathe chuck size

I have a Grizzly G0602 lathe and it has a 1-3/4"-8TPI threaded spindle, not a cam lock mount. You can download the G0602 owners manual from Grizzly if you want any other information. John

    My first 'thing'

I see and know a whole bunch of folk who have bought or made a 3-D printer but speaking from experience, I have had a 3-D printer for 12+ years, the most important tool you can have with the printer is a 3-D CAD program that you can use! And some of the handiest things I have made are little...

    Cheap and expensive Stainless bearings

Check the ABEC rating of the bearings: The ABEC rating system includes grades 1,3,5,7, and 9. The higher the ABEC rating, the tighter the tolerances are, making the bearing a more precision part. High precision and small tolerances are required for bearings to function at very high RPM, in...

1/4 Galloway Hit and Miss engine

George: Thank you for the explanation. After I modeled it I was able to noodle out how it works, or at least how I thought it should work, and your explanation confirmed what I thought. Mark: If it's any help and you can read a 3D file I can send it to you when you are ready. Looking...

1/4 Galloway Hit and Miss engine

Jason, I like that solution. I haven't got that far and at my building pace it might take a while! I needed to 3D model it to understand how the darned thing works, wasn't clear to me from the prints. John

1/4 Galloway Hit and Miss engine

Mark: Looking good! Are you going to make the igniter or use a spark plug? If you are going to use the igniter there is a part missing from the plans, at least the plans I got about a year ago. John

1/4 Galloway Hit and Miss engine

Interesting, my first IC engine was a Little Brother and I am now working on a 1/4 scale Galloway. I am not as far along as you on the Galloway and It will take me a lot longer to complete than yours will I am sure (took me 36 years to complete the Little Brother!) I have now seen 3 variations...

picked up a Paul Breisch Lil' Brother kit

I bought a Lil Brother kit back in 1980 and finished it last year (got to be close to a record for longest build!) Here is a link to it finally running: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70yq7GF7FHQ Fun build with a lot of little parts. I would start with the main housing and crank so you can...

    Hoglet one way clutch

We use one way bearings on RC helicopters so we can auto-rotate them down. Some of the larger ones have very powerful motors. The only down side is I have only seen them in metric sizes. John
