I have a 9 x 42 Bridgeport and my rotary table is a Troyke 15" Horizontal it works nice for flywheel when I revamp them to fit different engines. The Bridgeport ram moves in and out so I have lots of travel to accommodate the things I put on it. Todd

The tool post grinder I'm building uses a Router Motor at 20,000 rpm you need to make pulleys to get to right speeds you need for the wheels you will be using. Todd

That's one nice thing about the Drill Doctor it's quick and easy. I've always hand ground my drills that was the way I was taught and years of doing it but the Drill Doctor makes it very simple. Todd

You might want to try a brass grind on the drill a sharp drill bites in but with the cutting edge flat as for brass they don't dig in and tend to cut straighter. It's worth a try and you can always sharpen it when done or do like I do leave it for cutting brass, copper, and bronze. Todd

I'll probably get in trouble with the moderators but it's all about Safety. My stitches are from people not deburring the parts when finished machining and from driving my hand in to the floor with a 1/2" right angle drill. Again it's about not seeing it or getting distracted. Todd

The main issue here is all the same you need to think safety as the old saying s$@t happens. As far as I'm concerned glove don't belong around any machines I've seen to many stupid things done with gloves on. A Pipefitter ground his hand up nicely because a glove got caught in the sanding belt. Glove just are not a good thing in this kind of work! Todd

It's hard to tell but looks like cutting edge is shot once carbide gets a little dull I get sparks all the time. At the price of inserts if it's still giving me a good finish I run them till they die as lot as it doesn't hurt the holder. I cut a lot of 4140ht so it works for me. Looks like...
