It was a fun little engine to build. I'm currently remaking the crank from bar stock as the one I used was built up from drill rod and some key stock. I'm hoping that the one piece crankshaft will turn a little truer than the built up one. Fingers crossed, it's a bit fiddly when it's so small...

Very Nice work, an excellent start. I'll be watching as you progress. I just finished a Poppin vacuum engine on Friday and the little crankshaft was difficult and it only has one journal. I bent it on the first try and ended up making a built up crank.

The lathe I learned on in school was like this. You get used to it but it is a pain.

I would be interested in a set of casting depending on what it would cost. Would make an excellent addition to any engine project. What is the designed operating speed, RPM?
