alot of people turned 62 today

This is probably a result of the default birthday being set to January 1st, 1950 (or 1951? that kind of math confuses me this late at night) ... those people turning 62 haven't set their birth-dates. I'm actually surprised the default isn't 1970... that's the usual Epoch used.

Forgive my sleep-addled brain, but ...isn't 12" to the foot the same as 1:1 ?

    Trigonometry Practice

Tin, I was not discouraged, merely misread the tone of your post. It seems a few people at least may be interested, so I will wait a few days and post the answer, then another problem. - Ryan

    Trigonometry Practice

Tin, I'm not sure if I was properly understood there =) I have the knowledge to solve the above problem, I just thought I might supply a few problems for others to try their hands at, if they so wished... - Ryan

    Trigonometry Practice

As I go through Algebra/Trig ("Pre-Calculus") at school, I am stumbling on a number of sample problems that could come in useful for our hobby. I have been re-learning all this stuff under a new light, trying to adapt what I'm learning to what we do in engine design and building. Would anyone...

Another of 'her' orders ... !!!

ksor, i apologize for misunderstanding the purpose of the device, but the end result I did understand. I'm an aviation mechanic by trade, and am fully familiar with the wire analogy (and it DOES sort of have a counterpart in both directions, it just takes longer to get it to start twisting too...

Another of 'her' orders ... !!!

If the holder spins around its center axis while yarn is being removed from the inside, then it would eliminate the twisting/untwisting. That might make it a lot more complicated, of course, but... well, there you go - Ryan

B-RAD, as stated, that's the purpose of the thread I started. I have every issue I've seen complained about listed there, along with status of its fix. I'm on at all times of the day and try to update the original post in that thread at least twice a day. (There's nothing new to add so far this...

    Brian builds Atkinson Engine

Hope you enjoyed your trip, and welcome back Brian Austin (the new site administrator) has been fairly good at responding to our needs so far, and is working on coding up the karma system. He's still not said whether he can reinstate old karma. I am keeping a list of 'changes/missing...

See the "New Forum - New Problems. Post them here." Thread that I have been keeping up to date for several days now. Just need people to actually use it, instead of haphazardly use a little here, a little there. (Note: it's in the About HMEM forum.) - Ryan

Huh. that may have been something I just changed and forgot about. I can see that mine shows a minus, but no noticeable difference between mine and yours in regards to the "lines below" -- but did you mean that was what controlled the entire left sidebar? That seems to be the case, here... if...

Chuck you are quite correct, this is a misunderstanding. There IS a Forum Tools only when in Forum View mode, not on the New Posts or Today's Posts mode. I am adding this to the master list of feature requests (See: "New Forum - New Problems" thread) - Ryan

It's possible it was an option on the old forum. If you'll look at the second post on page 2 of "New Forum - New Problems" You'll see a screenshot of the old forums, where that bar on the left is clearly visible. It always was there, for me. - Ryan
