So if I fit a limit at the back end of the travel of both axis this would do for homing in each time?

Ahh, thats a bit of a blow to the project. The design requires for the boiler to sit down between the frames (which is why the 4" boiler is the max I could use) It will only be used to pull my self around, if not that then maybe just have to sit on a self looking pretty. Cheers, Pete

Hello, Does anyone know where I can get a new toothed belt for the stepper motor drive on a compact 5. I have had a quick look on the internet but cant see much, though I don't really know what im looking for. How do I measure the belt? Cheers, Pete

A quick update. I have fitted 2 new stepper motors to the machine. Just lots of wiring and things to do now.

Mainly been working on the location of the motor today. It seems best suited in the rear of the chassis. A few pictures showing the progress. The motor will be connected to the the nearest axle via a chain, then the 2 axles also connected by a chain. (Motor is in yellow) I have also added a...

A bit more work done this week on the Ruston. Mainly finalising the frame rails with holes and brackets galore. Also work on the suspension studs and axle boxes.
