Can anyone help me finish off this Compact 5 Conversion

I like the look of that, looks just to need a ESC to go with it. I am looking at this sort of thing: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Castle-Phoenix-Edge-75-32V-75-Amp-ESC-w-5-Amp-BEC-010-0101-00-/261831503586?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3cf65faee2 Where would I connect the 24V PSU in this circuit?

Can anyone help me finish off this Compact 5 Conversion

So if I fit a limit at the back end of the travel of both axis this would do for homing in each time?

Can anyone help me finish off this Compact 5 Conversion

Hello folks. For the last year or so I have been converting a Emco Compact 5 MK1 to run on Mach 3 Software. I basically removed all the original steppers and control boards and built up a new unit using a kit from 'CNC 4 U'. I know probably not the best quality stuff but for what I'm doing it...

    Vertical Steam Locomotive

Ahh, thats a bit of a blow to the project. The design requires for the boiler to sit down between the frames (which is why the 4" boiler is the max I could use) It will only be used to pull my self around, if not that then maybe just have to sit on a self looking pretty. Cheers, Pete

    EMCO Mach3 Spindle control

Hello, sorry im being a bit of a pain during this CNC conversion. But I am learning a lot. Especially on the wiring side of things. I hope this will be my final saga in the EMCO Conversion. I have the machines 2 axis moving fine now. All that remains is the Spindle control. I bought the C6...

    Emco Compact 5 Mk1 Conversion

Well I decided to remove the original parts and fit a new system from CNC4You (Cheap and nasty but good enough for a first CNC attempt) We have set up the stepper motors and everything runs fine from Mach3 on the computer. Just waiting on a new timing belt, but that's a different story! The...

    5" Gauge Ruston 88DS

Mainly been working on the location of the motor today. It seems best suited in the rear of the chassis. A few pictures showing the progress. The motor will be connected to the the nearest axle via a chain, then the 2 axles also connected by a chain. (Motor is in yellow) I have also added a...
