i remember back in school. chuck-keys didnt have the safety spring like modern day keys have. we HAD to place the key in special holder on the lathe otherwise the lathe wouldnt turn. was just quite simple pvc pipe with switch in it. worked very well.

starting ANY pulsejet without earmuffs is something i don't do. i only run smaller ones, but only two times a year at exhibition flyshows. and on those flights i get restricted to runs of max 5 minutes. well most spectators have enough of it by than anyway with few low passes over the runway :P...
