years back we use a deckel ponograph that was 1 to 1 or a gorton panograph that was 2to 1 up to 8 to 1. both had the option of being 3 dim. we used these to build plastic injection molds. the deckel was a fun ride if you had a 1/2 inch ball mill in it . after an 8 hr day you earned you money.

on an edm sinker the oil is used. it is used as the diaelectric and to flush the particles away to prevent a dc arc. water is used on wire feed edms. i have run a sinker for years building injection molds. will be watching to see how it works. jonesie

i to would just drill it 3/4. do it in a piece of scrape to see how it will fit. the d bit is like a reamer and is made to only remove a small amount of stock, not 3/8 if you use the 3/8 drill first, which if it is d bit will not drill to good. good luck jonesie

i agree with dave, and use hot roll if you need to weld it.i work in a large engine mfg. plant and do some building of weldments, but not the welding i am just the toolmaker. the boys that do that are the experts and if it is load bearing as below the hook it needs to be hot roll. if it gets...

roger i have build both jerry howells powerhouse and the farmboy. both sets of plans are excellent. the powerhouse is a good runner and i am now getting the farmboy running this week i hope. his boy is good to deal with also and would recomend his plans. will be glad to give you any advice. jonesie

i am thinking about building the NANZY from a kit from bob herder. my question is has anyone build it , and how do they like it.i assume bob herder still has casting as i have not called him yet. any thoughts and tips would be appreciated. thanks jonesie
