    2 cylinder flame licker

G'day Paul, the little flame licker looks a treat mate, and for it to be a runner straight off the bat, just goes to show your your a true craftsman with an eye for detail. Glad that carbon is holding up and worked out all right, look forward to seeing it running. Eddie

    2 cylinder flame licker

Agree, just a touch on the warm side Paul. Have been fixing a couple of swing sets, delivered one yesterday and the second goes out today. While I am glad to see them both gone, not looking forward to setting this last one up today. So many regions under serious threat from fires, I really...

Great to here the surgery is going better and yes metho should be much cleaner. You may have to ream out the tubes to get the wicks to fit. It is a strange one, the compressor. Start putting it in nappies!!!! LoL

    2 cylinder flame licker

G'day Paul, good to read you are on the mend "again". You seem to be in contact with a lot of knife's lately, those kiddy latches on the kitchen cupboards/draws not working? LoL..... Reading your post about finding the wick's, my first thoughts were oil burner or candle hobby supplies. Pure...

G'day Paul, been meaning to come on for a look/see and find out how the build is going. Sorry I had to leave in such a hurry the other day. Wish I could have hung around a bit longer, but I am sure you understand. I am really looking forward to seeing this one come together, as I find the flame...

    Swifty's build of Rupnow engine.

Well as always, I am in awe of your work Paul. A master of the machines, materials that you work with and if Brian is correct with his "danger" prediction, I look forward to see what the future holds for you. Brain I must also say, you are an inspiration and great asset to the forum. The...

    Swifty's build of Rupnow engine.

G'day Paul, great to see the governor "spring" in action. Any idea what the RPM would be, and what you may be able to get it down to (Brian can probably answer the second part better)? Roughly, at it's lowest RPM Brian, do you know how many misses to hits do you get? Paul, how much more do you...

Materials Question: Using Threaded Rod as a driveshaft in a wood lathe.

I would tend to agree with Brian on this one, "Not Suitable". Honestly, what size/brand grinder are you planning to run that all thread off?? If it's a 9" Makita, god help you... From what I have seen/shared of wood lathes, for any initial cuts to center balance the wood, is pretty slow, after...

    Swifty's build of Rupnow engine.

G'day Paul, If it is any help, I am pretty sure I have a few spare compression springs that are pretty light weight here at home. What size are you after exactly? I did also have some stretch springs here, but no idea where they are now. Eddie
