Thanks for the link, Had no idea the engine collection was going for sale. These engines are beautiful and well built. I had the pleasure of seeing most of them at Men, Metal, and Machines in 2005. It will be interesting to see what they bring for prices. Thanks again DON

Hello Thanks for the info and links. The engine castings look good so far. The cylinder casting shrinkage may be reduce by using a normal round core or by adding a feed riser at the thickest section of the casting. Your gating will help also to be fed in the heaviest section as well as...

What is the part for? That might also help with the question that you posted. you will obviously weaken the strength and rigidity of the material. I would think that cold forming will induce stresses as well in the areas that are cold formed. anyway good luck and hopefully it works out for you...
