this part of the plans are not clear enough for me to understand what its asking for. does anyone have better description of these three parts? Or better yet a clear drawing. (I am not an experienced builder) Thank you.

The plans do not define the ring sizes. whats the rule of thumb, make the ring od the size of the jug in its relaxed state, before heat treat. And the ring ID a few thou bigger than the piston groove diameter?

One of these gears is very difficult to find. But brings me to a question. If I decide I want to make these gears, after I learn how to use a dividing head. Does the name of these gears define the information I need to make them. Diametrical pitch, diameter etc? Example, top gear, the two...
