Indeed, there are lots of distro's to choose from. Years ago I started using Linux Mint. There are 4 different to choose from, I picked Mint Xfce. It is the lightest version of the Mint family. It has the look and the 'feel' of WinXP. Love it..! And as I said before it has all 'on board'...

I'm using Linux Mint. Never had any problems with it. Very easy to install, and most of all all is 'on board'. All software you ever need is accessible at a glance. Maybe it has been mentioned in this thread already, did not read it all. So sorry if it has.
