    25 HP Nash

Doug - When I brazed the water jackets for the Snow, I had issues with small pin holes, I found that Green (wicking) Loctite worked well. I just smothered that on after it cooled and cleaned up. Filled the pin holes and sealed up well. Hopefully you're a better brazer than I am, but if you...

    Model water pump

I would love to build a water pump like that for my engines, would you be willing to share any details or drawings?

    Nardini Cross Feed Stop

I have a Nardini 1440 Lathe, and I am looking for details on the cross feed disengage stop. The carriage already has the "button" mechanism to disengage the feed, I am looking for details on the adjustable stop that bolts to the side of the cross slide. I'm looking to buy one if someone has...

    Snow Tandem

Thanks Jeff, your help was invaluable in making it a success. I'm able to get it to run pretty consistent in the 500's, I'm hoping after some break in time that I can get it around 400. My two main concerns at this point are that it runs hot and uses a lot of fuel. I dont have a radiator...

    Snow Tandem

It's not quite finished yet, but it's far enough along to make it HMEM official. Thanks to everyone (Jeff, Gordon, Gary, etc) for your advice along the way, your guidance and advice helped make this a very enjoyable project. I built this with my 82 year old dad and my brother. I'm a computer...

I just wanted to drop a quick note and say thank you to Jeff, Gordon, and the others that have documented their experiences with the Snow engine, we started ours last night for the first time. Your input and experience really helped move our project along and help us avoid issues. Once we get...

    Snow engine thoughts

Thanks Jeff, that is very helpful. I've reviewed your other posts have incorporated all of your findings (center clamp connector, stainless piston rod, new cam design, intake manifold, etc). I'm hoping to learn from your experience and have a good running engine without too much frustration...

    Snow engine thoughts

Thanks Gordon, just to clarify, we wouldnt need to remove the piston from the rod to replace seals or gaskets, right? I modeled my center coupling after Rustkolector's design and that worked great so far.

    Snow engine thoughts

Rustkolector - We are assembling our Snow, and I noticed on one of your posts that you mentioned that you pinned the pistons, or that you were thinking of switching to half dog set screws. What did you use for pins? Spring pins, taper pins, or ?? I was thinking about using green loctite, but...

The Nash Gas Engine Electric Plant

Jeff - I am considering starting the Nash project after we finish our current build of the Snow. I purchased Doug Kelley's new book and the Nash looks pretty straightforward. As a John Deere two-cylinder fan, I love the idea of a two cylinder opposed model. I have read your posts about some...

    Martin Models

Gary provides excellent castings and service, and he's a really nice guy too! We've done both of the Deere casting kits that he offers and they were great. I would highly recommend Martin Models to anyone!

    Snow engine thoughts

Rustkolector - Do you have any pictures or details of how you did the updated intake manifold? We are building the snow now and will be using your suggested updates to hopefully lessen the frustration in getting it running.
