Hi and thanks for allowing me to join your group!

I've been interested in mechanical things for years - my last project was to completely re-build a 1973 Mini 1275 GT...

But today, I inherited something very special and I think I might need some expert help to restore it back to its former glory!

I know nothing about this beautiful girl apart from the suggestion that the boiler is made from a shell case. She clearly needs stripping, cleaning, lubricating and lots of TLC...

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

The little engine should clean up fine.
What is diameter of flywheel for scale?
Any pics of the mini 1275 GT?
Cheers
EDIT: I forgot to mention it looks quite similar to a PM#1 engine

Hi and thanks for your reply!

The flywheel is about 12½cm diameter... I could post more pictures with a scale if it helped...?

There is a link here to the 1275 GT restoration but they are mostly 'during' I need to add more of the 'after' pics to this folder...

But here is one...
