Good luck! My home repaired shoes just fell apart (again!) as the rubber replacement treads just won't stay stuck with the "proprietary" glue, super glue or staples. Anything not flexible just breaks and becomes detached, the "rubber" vulcanising adhesives just decide the day they will fail and trip me up.
Hope you have success too!

Ah But Ken, the words of Polonius remain valid==== For the Apparel of proclaims the man.
Lord Robert Baden Powell, founder of the Boy Scouts wrote in one of his books of the extremely well dressed young lady- until someone realised that her clothes were given by 'her employer' but she wore her old shoes- of a servant.

Of cpurse the Elegant Solution is to obtain a copy of Making the Most of The Unimat by Rex Tingey which adds immeasurably the pleasure of the additional belting to undertake MORE tasks on nthis remarkable little machine. Certainly, Chronos sells the as well as heat gluing round plastic belts.
Of course with my tongue in cheek, cannibalising the Unimat gives a very workable solution to tool grinding;)

Another 'ball game' me thinks

I bought some Chronos belts - polyurethane - made to size, well 2 of 3 fitted - but all are tight and strain the bearings with pre-tension! (V-pulleys make their own tension when on load). - So back to the glued Viton O-rings as they last a few years - and give me a reason to find the old hard CA bottle and buy a new one!

But my O-ring drive belts on the Unimat lathe must be much less stressed, though run for thousands more cycles than my shoes. No real pre-tension, I let the V pulleys make the grip when on load. And I simply Superglue the VITON O-rings using a 45 degree splice.

I happened on an adhesive called E6000 that seems to be quite good for adhesion and stays flexible too. It may not hold your shoe soles but it does hold them onto my boots and I find many other uses for it too. I'm still using on my 1 oz container but found a 3.7 oz tube for when it runs out. I think it would work for the round belts too.

My best Loctite peeled in 90 yo fingers. It was called Loctite Extreme glue.
