I don't know if this is the right place to post this: admin, please move accordingly.

I am offering FREE anodizing services to anyone that makes their engine and wants any parts anodized.
The only catch is that you have to pay for actual shipping. (Most likely $8.00)

I want to promote home engine building and since I am an anodizer I thought this might be helpful.

I have been professionally anodizing since 2005.

If you want you parts anodized please send all inquiries to: [email protected]

Thanks:)

Ted, Silver anodizing? gold? other colors? Different substrates like aluminum or steel? Can you do clear anodizing? Sounds interesting, more details please.

I can do most colors plus clear. Only aluminum for anodizing but I am just getting into nickle boron nitride plating as well. I just want to help you guys out!

Basically I am an anodizer. A Splash anodizer more specifically. I just started nickle boron nitride and I am willing to try anything else. I can do any color (that is easy compared to what I normally do) I want to try ABC (aluminum piston with chrome plated brass cylinder) Or Aluminum piston with nickle boride plated cylinder.

If the plating option is possible, I am open to trying it! Is all you need to do is pay for shipping. I just want to promote the hobby of home engine building!!

I'm located in Ohio.
Here is my website: Gruntbull.com

WOW, I'm interested. And I see that I'm only 118 miles from you. I live just 8 miles from turn one at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Avon, Indiana. Will put you on my saved sites list.
Thanks

Hi Steve, I'll second that request :)

There used to be a plating firm near me, I say used to be, the owner a really nice guy passed and the guy who now runs the shop is an as----e ! All he thinks about is £££££. He has set a £45+ vat minimum. for any job, regardless.

Probably for those who are more au fait with DC electricity?

Can a cheap home/workshop inverter be used not just for welding --MMA etc but for anodising?
The local German supermarket in the UK will have them in this week for £60.

If I have it right, two uses for the price of one

Norman,
Your power supply would need to supply about 18 volts. It is possible to do it in the home workshop but it is an involved process with many things that can spoil the results.

Thank you for the information. MY problem0-so far-is to separate the silver out of mercury and silver amalgam.
I have a source- further information is deliberately 'hazy'o_O

My late wife got before me in 're-cycling' the contents out of rotten extricated teeth.

I could have silver plated handles on my coffin:D

That is a very generous offer. For most of the guys here, I believe that the hurdle is not paying to have one piece done, its paying to have one piece done at the price of doing 100.
I recently painted a bunch of parts that should have been Anodized, but the price was out of sight.

Thanks again for your offer.

Hi. I just found your offer and was thinking if you would be able to ship to South America? I finished one engine and would be interested in having the cylinders anodized. I wasnt able to find anyone in my area doing this kind of work. Im from Paraguay, i would have no problem paying for the shipping.

That would be no problem. Send me a private message and I'll give you further instructions.
