Minh, Your skills are improving... nice work.
I'm designing my first flame eater and I'm "borrowing" the design from many other peoples work. I'd be interested in seeing more pictures of your valve mechanism.

Some pictures of valve : The valve leaf should be as thin as possible - I use a cans of water to make the valve leaf .

So I take it that the valve is thin enough that vacuum ultimately creates the seal?

Yes .It's really easy to create a seal !
