I've just found this site and feel like I've found shangri-la
Like minded people who are willing to give information to anyone who needs it
Friendly and helpful is a rare thing these days

So I shall be looking through the pages and shall be enjoying them

As someone who has been involved with alsorts of projects from original cars racing cars electric and natural gas mini buses
safety of passengers
Tail lifts seat belts
Teaching at a college

Unfortunately the cancer got me at 42 and have been unable to get the energy up to teach and basically be part of the human race

I've been playing about with remote control planes cars etc
But there's nothing like building something from scratch
And my workshop has more cobwebs and dust over it than it should
Being that I live in a place called
The Lizard Cornwall uk the most southerly point of England
There are not many that I can share my passion with
So may the joy begin and may I be able to share my projects as well as enjoy yours also if I can pass my knowledge onto others to help I shall do willingly and freely and with happiness

Thanks for being here

Karl Claydon

Welcome to the forum Karl. Time to get some swarf flying into those cobwebs. :D

Hi Carl,

Warm Welcome from another ''73'' old engineer from faraway Singapore, formerly a British Colony and about the most successful City State after being kicked out of Malaysia in 1965. We retained all the street, road names. Victoria Memorial Hall. Victoria Street. Mountbatten Road etc. Young Gus had to sing the ''God Save The King'' and God Save The Queen''. Happy Memories.
However be forewarned the HMEM has too many model engine enthusiats out to snare and have you addicted to model engine building. Please post fotos of your machineshop when available.

Sorry for no reply to your message I seemed to have missed it as I wasn't particularly up to speed on the way the site worked so I would now like to thank you I shall try and attempt to upload some pics for all to peruse at there own leisure
At the moment I'm have a moving of things off the back wall after reading an article of disastrous events of things from tools to boxes of stuff falling into to work space and being turned into missiles as the falling thing is knocked for six by the thing going roundy roundy and either causing a red oil pressure leak of some part of anybody in range or a need for a change of under garments as a result of a lack of concentration as missiles all seem to be all wanting to become embedded into the cranium

So this is how it is now

Well come from Brazil Karl
