I'd be careful about that. Its a DVD all right & you might get 30 days free trial usage before official registration is required. At which point I think SW is pretty fussy about your qualifying credentials. I'm just guessing about this, but I heard a similar story from college engineering student that mentioned having to link SR# to the institution he was attending & also renewing it year to year because its a 12-mo deal?

No doubt that Solidworks has some inconvenient restrictions applied
to their software.
