Hi all,

Firstly my name is Marinus, I'm 15 years old and I live in Limpopo, South Africa. Some of you might know me from the other forums.

Ever since my dad had gotten a lathe (3 years ago) I was interested of what could be made using it. A friend of mine has a MM1 and that sparked the idea of building steam engines:) Well made a few wobblers already, but currently busy building TICH 3.5" loco by LBSC.

I will post the build later on.

Great being part of this cummunity:D

Cheers!

Hi Marinus, welcome to the forum. I wish that I started at your age, I always tinkered with things but didn't have access to any machines.

Paul.

Welcome Marinus. Love to see some pics when you get o chance

Thank you all for the welcome:)

I will post the build log soon, it might take a while as I'm going to try and do a full write up on my progress.

Cheers!
Marinus

Gus, Pity you didn't get to Cape Town, one of the worlds most beautiful cities. If you ever visit SA again, make sure to make it a priority.

For those who don't speak South African, braai is the South African word for BBQ. The literal translation of boerewors is "Farmer's sausage" which is particularly delicious on a BBQ.
