Thx alot guys seems like i might have left a few things out and possibly over explained some things
GD&T wont be used so much as to confuse people working off the plans more solely to provide dimension tolerances for machining and final inspection. Datums and the such wont be used as it can become confusing very fast but expect to see tolerances for diameter, concentricity, parrellism and similar such things but most people will be able to ignore the call outs and just use common sense to make this if they so desire.
I have already changed the block design about 8 times so im sure once i start making chips plenty of changes will come so i always take photos and lots of notes. One thing that has saved me lots of time is actually saving every change or set of changes as a new file so if i need to go back a couple of steps its much easier then deleting a bunch of lines.
As far as the use of this bad boy it has gone through 3 stages. 1st a simple working display piece, 2nd custom design rc car, 3rd and my favorite at the moment shifter cart totally custom from the ground up and obviously built with a full set of jigs and all the sort so it can be re-made over and over with consistency.
I promised pictures and they are on the way im just having trouble with photobucket at the moment so all i can say is theres gonna be a decent amount of pics. heres a heads up of what to expect
The block, heads, the shaft mounted rocker setup, the start of the crank trigger.
Hopefully sometime around sun rise ill have pics
