Default Hello from Montreal Quebec

Hello Everybody!!! REALLY ENTHUSIASTIC NEWBIE HERE!!

I am a metal engraver and motorcycle lover and have always wanted to get into machining. I'm on the broke side so the $$$ has always held me back. I finally got my hands on a lathe. It is old-ish, banged up (wasn't running until yesterday) but I could afford it so I took it. I plan on fixing it up and acquiring all the tooling as I go along.

Excited to get started and ask all the questions and gain all the knowledge.

Thank you very much for the welcome! I'm looking for a beginner lathe project to get started and see what other repairs I need to do to the lathe to make it run smooth and true. If you can help point me in the right direction would be much appreciated.

It is a Craftex Mini Lathe 7 x 8 B1979C. I just got it running and now I'm taking it apart, cleaning it up and adding grease.
