Default Something different

North Bohemia, where I live in the Czech Republic, is famous for its glass works.
I came across this guy who makes engines from glass. Unfortunately his website is only in Czech but google translate does a good job. http://www.sklozam.cz/sklenene-modely/
Various engines are in the glass models section of his website. They also link to a number of videos on youtube as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MqOh76PGfO0

Thank You Tony for posting this.

I tried some glass blowing many years ago and had a lot of fun doing it, but I never made anything that had to move.

That is pretty neat. I have to wonder what type of glass was used here. From my perspective you would want more strength than is seen in common window glass.

In any event this sort of thing could be very educational though i wouldn't trust young students with it.

It's probably a borosilicate glass used in kitchenware. Similar to Pyrex.
