Hey Derek,
Pretty sure any uranium is a bit far away from the "coal patch" in Estevan, but do get in touch with Kelly Tytlandsvik at <emes@sasktel.net> to find out about the annual Estevan Model Engineering "show". You will enjoy it if you can make it.

Sorry about your health issues.

Take care. Brian Lawson, Bothwell, Ontario.

Small world - I know a guy that lives there and researches bugs - in fact I hope to head over your way next year sometime. Looking forward to it, it's supposed to be a nice place.

Default My Introduction

Hello Everybody,

I am also retired, previous life Technical Adviser, first job apprentice Fitter and Machinist, have owned a Myford Super 7 for twenty years and love its accuracy.
I am currently thinking of purchasing a BF30 Vario Bench Mill ISO 30 Spindle 2.2kw Motor
They tell me it is German design made in Taiwan.

I am currently making a Gyroscope for my 10 yo Grandson, it will be started with a small high speed electric motor by rubber wheel. It will have ceramic high speed bearings.
Nice little project.
My main interest is clock making.
I live in Australia. North, New South Wales (Tumbulgum)
Cheers
Noel

KI is a nice quiet place, if you like that sort of thing. The down side if you are a model engineer, just about every thing needed for a project has to be ordered from the north island. Postage and freight charges are some thing we have to live with.
