Default Virtual pin map

Hi Folks,

I'm Paul, former CAD draughtsman specialising in marine design (tugboats, barges, the occasional warship) living near Whangarei, New Zealand. When not building model railway stuff in 9mm:foot scale, I tinker with alternative power production and fixing whatever's broke around the place. I have Sherline mill and Qualos Junior lathe.

My name is Nelson. I live in the northcentral part of Florida. Retired from the printing industry, started when sheets were hand feed, retired when the digital technology came in. Them were some very good years. Now just tinkering around, trying my touch on antique clocks. Maybe one day.

I was expecting to see a map, where I would plot my position and maybe find some like minded people close to me.
Did I do something wrong?
I cant see any point in an ongoing list with no index etc.

In the early days of this site there was an actual map that you could put your location on, and it was a good idea.
Unfortunately, it was done away with many years ago, I think when the site was taken over.

Hi John,
Thank you for explaining it to me.

I spent some time trying to find a map, I think it would be a good idea.
I would love to find other people around my area somehow.
The name is very confusing, it implies there is a map to put your location on, something like Geocaching site does for its members hides.

Default Hi

Hi everyone. My name is Derek. Live in Saskatchewan Canada. Currently work in a Uranium Mine as a Reliability Engineer. I do not yet have machining capabilities but dream of accomplishing projects like you guys do. Have had some recent severe health problems so may never reach the machining goal but still love to look at yours. Maybe I will get lucky and get there yet as your work inspires me.
