Joe:
If the part number you have 604482 is correct for the Tumbler Gear on your earlier version machine that would be 600130. That gear is OD 1.7273 DP 22 pa 20 degree 36 Tooth. That is not a common cutter which unless you have one or have a source I will order ($50). Boston gear does not have DP22 in 20 degree. If you remove the slide gear change plate (2 Allen cape screws under the thread number plate) the gear is right there. I will try Delrin with brass insert first to see how it sounds. Will be more than happy to make 2. My plate was missing so had to make one. Bob

yes, I don't have the time at this present to get it apart, I do have several lathes, use it also, really like it will be nice to get that fixed so I can use the power feed and cut threads, was hoping to find a gear rather than get it from Cincinnati.

Understand the time crunch - was hopping you could confirm your bad gear - simple for me to make extra if that is the one on your machine that is bad. With the shift cover off the gear rides inside the Yoke Block with another smaller gear left edge of picture. Bob

Bob, I got in the shop this morning and just started to take it apart and of course the cell had to ring, then email and on and on its goes, I work 24 hour call in the oil field and at my age I am getting a little tired of it after many years, want to retire someday here soon so I can go in the shop and play and never answer that cell again and hide from the world for a while, hope to get it tomorrow, thanks so much for you help to be willing to help, Lathe Nut.
