    DIY Tesla Impulse Turbine

I know at some point that you get nozzzle flop potential with a divergent nozzle but I couldn't find that info in my brief search.

    DIY Tesla Impulse Turbine

I'm not sure how long the throat of a de laval can be but there is room in venturi's for stretch... so depending on your geometry you might have some pressure/velocity changes that are de laval like. Just wondering if the geometry of an air knife orifice might help. On the surface they would...

    DIY Tesla Impulse Turbine

Depends on the nozzle diameters that inject into the hole? Maybe? Are you familiar with air knives?

    Mini diesel engine.

I know those post was way back but I thought I would add, diesel is a hydraulic fluid which means it has 5 functions Sealing Cooling Flushing Lubricating And force transmission. In a diesel you add ignition. But in a pump/injector you see the fluid doing all 5 things before it burns.

    Compression ignition

Iirc the Mazda with the 14:1 is gasoline not diesel, and uses innovativing timing/injection. Part of the SKYactive family I think. I could be mistaken.

Diesel injection Brons System may be suitable for models ?

I had never heard of Brons engines, thank you for sharing. I found a little more info http://www.bronsmotor.com/brons3.htm

Mini diesel engine - New discussion

I'm following all this diesel talk with great fascination... but could they stay in English? I lose this threads when Spanish pops up.

Model Diesel: 32mm bore, 38mm stroke, indirect injection

Buy a bigger drill? Can you set up a movable shim on your exaust valve to be a decompression valve to let you spool it up freely?

    Monotube Flash Boiler Design

Just curious, after seeing your air pump build, why not repeat your success and do a water pump build? If you can do such a great job on a swashplate compressor, then a swash plate, or easier/better, triplex pump should be a breeze. A triplex with ball bearing shaft supports, an external...

Model Diesel: 32mm bore, 38mm stroke, indirect injection

Buy a bigger drill? But seriously: Can you set up a movable shim on your exaust valve to be a decompression set up. Then once the flywheel has some speed you could drop the valve?

    That's more then possible.

Thanks. I worked up to copper alloys and then got totally distracted with ceramic slip casting crucibles and the next thing I knew I was obsessed with growing sapphire and rubies 😟 totally forgot metal.

That's practically zen. What about also getting the drill style one and reverse engineering it?

Can't ever read enough about casting gray cast iron... Can't wait to try it if I ever get a new furnace set up... I never got beyond casting bronze... of course back then I had to make my silicon bronze from scratch starting with grinding sand to make silicon, now you can just buy so much of...

    Compression ignition

You can also absolutely get some small gasoline engines to run as diesels in the wrong circumstance. Once I grabbed a 4 stroke string trimmer from the trash. Tried everything to get it to run, it wouldn't. I eventually tried shooting in some propane through the carb and it started, poorly. It...

    Compression ignition

Static compression is ideal and what you've been calculating. The numbers seem optimistic just because you need to throw in is the messy real world which reduces those numbers. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compression_ratio#:~:text=The dynamic compression ratio is higher with more...

    Monotube Flash Boiler Design

We could do the math, but I bet the longevity of whatever they stuck in there would be really subpar? Let me know what you think. Edit: adding a return line with a servo mounted to a three way valve would give you the option of adding a radiator. Keeping the reservoir in the pumps happy range...

    Compression ignition

Fellas, don't forget the difference between static vs dynamic compression 😅

Needle valve with a return hose, a stainless hydraulic valve. If you also get a stainless over pressure valve you can put it and a ball valve with a low psi gauge on and have them connected to a ball valve. Edit: can you just machine a plate to hold the bearing and swash plate arrangement and...
