Brian, I have three engines, all of the hit & miss type that are fired with the electronic ignition systems from Roy Sholl. Two are of the buzz type and one is a single spark and they function nicely. Craig

This is my second Economy hit and miss engine, has a one piece crank, S/S Machine and Engineering electronic buzz coil ignition and runs on Coleman fuel.

Been silent for a while, but alot of my time and energy has been consumed with a very large project, about 30'x50'x14' large. The inside is partitioned into two rooms, the garage is roughly 34'x28' with the big doors being 10'x10' and the machine shop area is about 14'x28' with a 8'x6' double...

Now that's cooler than the other side of the pillow!!! Great work and thanks for the update. The warm temps here have kept me busy outside too, but today the rainy weather has given me some inside time, maybe I'll do something?!?!?! Craig

Chuck, Great job on your engine. Has an eye appealing look and is very ear appealing too. Sounds very much like my JD 420. I've a horizontal 2 cylinder that needs finishing and the valve train setup on your engine may be the ticket. Could you elaborate on the setup and maybe post a few...

Nice job on the igniter, and the rest of the engine too, hope you meet your dead line. I was hoping to have a second Economy up and running by Spring time, but it's not going to happen. Starting to get nice outside, time to get the big engines out of the barn and ready them for the shows. Craig

Great running engine, has some nice coast time. Been told by more than one person that the governors on those engines, scale and full sized, can be a demon. Great Job, and thanks for sharing. Craig

Neat little engine, like the rain cap on the exhaust pipe!!! Nice OLD Bridgeport you've got there, mine is just like it. But mine comes in at # J664, a wee bit older and probably a wee bit more worn. Shanks for sharing. Craig

Chuck, More info on the DRO you've got on that ol SB. Would like to have one on my heavy 10. Like the hit and miss engines too. I've a 1 1/2 horse Stover K and a 7 horse Majestic on the fix-r-upper list. Craig

Have you tried looking at Northern Tool, Harbor Freight, Tractor Supply. Not sure if any of these supply companys are near you. Try E-bay, might find one from the good ol days. Craig
